We made it to Africa!!!

We made it!!!

After 58 hours of travel from Halifax to Cape Town, one cancelled flight, one complimentary hotel, one meal for both of us, a complete airline change, one brand new airport, one new connection in Georgia, one full on bolt to make our connecting plane in Georgia, making the plane in the knick of time, last ones to board, then discovering that our seat mate and the three seats in front of us were on the cancelled flight the night before, one vent seasoned with the co-cancelled flight people, one dinner, one night lunch, one breakfast on the plane, one plane movie, 7 hours of sleep and one session of reading a really interesting novel later we made it to Cape Town.

Once arriving to Cape Town we cleared customs without a hitch, got our bags, got a uber, and made it to hotel with 3 minutes to spare before the tour group met.

We haven’t seen a whole lot of Cape Town as we just arrived, but from what we saw it was beautiful! Warm, and scenic! There are mountains, palm trees, aloe trees and so much more.

I can not wait for the adventures to begin, I can not wait to share them with you.
