Will it be scary? Will it be slow paced or insanely busy? The pre deployment nerves have hit hard, and the element of the unknown is surrounding me.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>This is all new terror for me, every other deployment I\u2019ve ever been on has been at sea, I know the sea, I am happy, comfortable and knowledgeable with the sea, I know the boats, I know what happens on ship, I know my role on ship. I feel safe and get good sleep while being rocked by the waves. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\">This is a completely new adventure, this is land, I don\u2019t know where I am going, I don\u2019t know where I will be sleeping every night, I don\u2019t know what is required of me (yes I know my trade and I know It well, but what about all the other jobs a soldier does on land and not at sea?) I don\u2019t know where I will be travelling to once I am there.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>I don\u2019t know where I will be eating, or what I will be eating, will it be packed lunches and IMP\u2019s or will it be restaurants?<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Did I pack the right amount of required items? Or did I forget something important and will get in trouble? <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\">I know that once my feet hit the ground in Yellowknife and I have met my point of contact then my soldier mindset will take over in auto pilot and I will be just fine. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\">The element of the unknown can be sure scary but I am praying the adventure is amazing. <\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sitting here at the airport wondering what the next three weeks will be like, will it be fun?
