NO BORING DAY NEWSLETTER<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Christmas By the Sea<\/strong><\/p>\n

This year I got have to wonderful privilege of having my sister and my
\nniece come to Halifax for Christmas. The days were endless, the fun
\nwas joyous and the company was perfect.\u00a0 Everyday was filled with
\nadventure, whether it was out by the sea looking for shells, sea
\nglass, Mini Golfing, Swimming, Shopping, Baking, decorating a large
\nhomemade gingerbread house, doing puzzles, playing endless board
\ngames, we had the best time. we got snow this year for Christmas, we
\ndon\u2019t usually get a lot of snow so it was a treat, we went outside for
\nmultiple hours and made a snowman, in Saskatchewan they don’t have
\nsnow that is packy for snowman so this was the first time she made one
\nand such a special treat for my niece.<\/p>\n

My Niece discovered snowballs, and had an absolute blast making them
\nand throwing them at me, which of course resulted in an epic snowball
\nfight with my 4 year old niece. The days went by way too fast and soon
\nit was time to say goodbye, I was sad to see them go, but glad for the
\namazing memories made.<\/p>\n

Alabama<\/strong><\/p>\n

Having friends from far off places are the absolute best, I get to go
\nvisit them and discover all sites, cultures, see the area through the
\neyes of the locals, meet wonderful friends and family of my friend,
\nand just overall have a wonderful time catching up with dear ones.
\nAdventures and conversations were endless.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Some of the adventures
\nthat were had was, a tour of an antebellum home, these homes just
\namaze me, I feel like I can visualize the underground railroad! A road
\ntrip to Mobile, then down to the ferry then over to the beach. I got
\nto see palm trees, brown Pelicans, cormorants, cotton fields, and my
\nfirst time seeing and touching the Gulf of Mexico. supper and visits
\nwith my friends family.\u00a0 I managed to come to Alabama in the coldest week in recorded history
\nsince 1893, but hey I\u2019m Canadian!<\/p>\n

The Hamburg<\/strong><\/p>\n

The ship called The Hamburg was a three masted wooden sailing ship,
\nbuilt then launched in 1886. The ship was all wood including the nails
\nwhich were wooden pegs, it was in use until it was abandoned and sank
\nwhen the warf burnt down in 1936. The ship then lay at the bottom of
\nthe sea for years.\u00a0 Last summer we had torrential rain, causing flash
\nfloods, where the side haul of the Hamburg was rediscovered.\u00a0 \u00a0I had
\nthe privileged to go to the beach and find it.<\/p>\n
