My grandmother and my little sister Leah had such a special bond. I remember when grandma met her for the first time I don’t think she could see for hours because her huge smile just wouldn’t go away. She held her forever and admired her little hands. As Leah grew her attachment to grandma became inseparable. She would mimic grandma in her daily activities. Especially curling her hair. Grandma was the most patient with her teaching her everything and loved to sit and colour together.
On this beautiful sunny warm day marks my beautiful sisters birthday. As well as the first year of the death of my grandmother. This day should be hard and sad, and don’t get me wrong I miss grandma terribly. However I also feel a warmth and peace knowing the bond these two have. I will always love and miss you grandma and reminisce all the memories.
Leah I love you so much and I wish I could be there for your birthday. Enjoy the beauty of the special bond you and grandma always have and always will have 🙂
