Waterfalls are beautiful, they are almost magical and mesmerizing. It is always so exciting when I come across a waterfall, I often find myself sitter there for a while contemplating. Well this recent waterfall sure made me contemplate things.
On Friday and Saturday we got an ice storm, it was beautiful the way the ice stuck to the trees, I know it wasn’t good but still it looked nice. Once the storm was done on Saturday afternoon, I went to go to the store, the roads were clear so don’t worry about that.
When I got outside and started to scrape off my car, I realized that the amount of ice built up was going to take me FOREVER, so I got to thinking if there is another way to make it go faster, so I put my hand on the ice, it sure melted good but was very cold (DUH) so thought a bag of hot water would melt the ice. Deciding this was a fantastic idea I went up my three flights of stairs and got a garbage bag and put some extremely hot water into it. Tied a nice knot and proceeded down the stairs.
Well I get down the first flight of stairs and the second, then I start on the third set of stairs and well I now know there is a heat limit to plastic bags and the bag breaks………………lets take a long moment of comprehension here…………first stop the water makes is to my leg and inside my winter boot, then it proceeds to hit the floor. And hit the floor it does! For fear I will catch every single drop of water, it is committed in its escape from the garbage bag. Down it flows, it is really quite mesmerizing a beautiful perfect waterfall right in my own place. Standing there watching it flow beautifully down the stairs I do absolutely nothing.
Once the display is completed and the art of the flow has made a settlement at the bottom, I decide to take action. Really not wanting to drag myself back up the stairs, I realize I have towels in the dryer, and go down the stairs to get them. Mopping up the water with the towels I get enough cleaned up so that no one falls and hurts themselves on my attempt at moving art.
Taking the broken bag and going to the wash basin filling it with hot water but less hot then last time, I tie the two ends together and carry it outside where I proceed to hold it on the ice. I am
Pleasantly happy that this does in fact work, however next time, I will not put such hot water in the garbage bag.
