Everyday is filled with smiles, laughter, adventures, and opportunities. You just have to seek them out.
A wormy situation.

A wormy situation.

So tonight I was driving to go out for supper with my roommate as a send off hang out before she deploys on Sunday.  We are driving in the city and dealing with all the horrible Halifax drivers. Talking about life and how horrible the drivers are, and talking about some of the details of her deployment.

A group of birds flew overhead and then something splat on my hood of my car. Instantly I am like oh no the bird pooped on my car! Seriously! Then the “bird splat” started to move. My roommate says is that a parasite in the splat, that is disgusting, as we are continuing to drive and trying to figure out what this moving thing was, when it lifted its head and we both started laughing when we realized it was a worm, that it wasn’t some awful parasite, no it was just a poor worm.

That worn most likely was just living his life, normal routine, doing his thing, and then a bird digs into his home, and rips him out of the ground.  The worm most likely was like man no this is what my family has warned me about, no no no.  then as the bird drops it, it is like OMG I didn’t think it was going to be like this, like ok I was curious what flying would be like but I didn’t need to experience it, then it lands on my car and I bet it thinks whew that was close I can’t believe I survived it.  It hangs on to the car hood until I reach my destination.

Feeling like that worm gave it the old college try at staying alive, I couldn’t leave it, so I took it off the car hood and walked it over to the grass.  I hope that worm lives long and that he enjoys his new home.
