I have created a newsletter and then when I posted it I realized that there is no way you could read it.  So I have taken the words and written them out for everyone to read.  This is the update on my crazy amazing jam packed full of adventure summer.

Mississippi

This summer I travelled to Mississippi to attend a dear friends wedding. The wedding  and of course the bride was beautiful! I am so glad I got to share in this special day with them.  This was my first time going to the deep south of USA, it was beautiful but also a little bit of a culture shock, the accent was strong, but the people were so friendly! The dear couple I stayed with were so welcoming, and I felt right at home, they had cat fish farms, so everyday I hopped onto the side by side and went to feed the fish with them. it was a great experience! I got to see multiple Antebellum homes and even got to tour a home.  This trip was absolutely amazing, however the weather was so hot!

Sister and Niece and mom visit

I got to enjoy three weeks with my older sister and 4 year old niece here in Nova Scotia. We adventured like there was no tomorrow,  we discovered parks, nature, and of course the Ocean., my niece conquered her hesitation with the waves, and we swam in every beach we could find.  On cold rainy days we did crafts, books and we to indoor swimming pools. We discovered lighthouses, and had fun on the rocks. There was not a moment in those three weeks where adventure wasn’t to be had.

Mom surprised everyone and came to Nova Scotia so the four of us to go to PEI for a 4 day vacation. it was such a fantastic trip, the Airbnb that we got had a outdoor pool and the cabin was absolutely stunning, I wish we could have all stayed for weeks on end.  While we were all there we discovered the singing sands, Cavendish Beach, Charlottetown,  a Butterfly House, and Anne of Green Gables.  My niece was beside herself when she finally found Anne, she was jumping, laughing and doing that crazy excited dance that little kids do.  She sang a song to Anne and Diana, then gave Anne a stick and leaf craft she created. After awhile she even went down to the field to throw a ball with Gilbert, she had the best day!

Saskatchewan

When my sister and my niece flew home to Saskatchewan I came with them, there is just something about being on the prairies that makes me feel so at home, I bet it is the open and flowing fields, it is so freeing, and it reminds me of the Ocean too.  My younger sister and her husband went away for a work conference, and I stayed with my almost two year old niece, so that she could be in her own home and bed, we had an absolute blast, we visited friends, and family.  We connected with some I haven’t seen in such a long time. I was able to see my Great Aunt as well as some family from out of province, what a joy it was to catch up with all of them. My niece was a rockstar and loved getting attention from everyone. to burn off energy we went to the parks and played, I swear I would have spend my lifetime pushing her on the swing if I let it happen, she ran everywhere and worked on learning to climb things at the park. as well as the park, swimming was of course a necessity, every time we went swimming we went with my older sister and 4 year old niece, we met up with some friends at the lake and spent the day swimming with the littles. My 4 year old Niece swam there without a floaty and was a champ at it! We also spent multiple days at the outdoor pool, water slide and diving board in the nearby town, it was the perfect way to get my almost two year old Niece more used to water play, which she loved and did so amazing I was so proud of this little one. My 4 year old Niece, and I had so much fun together, I challenged her in water play and before long she was jumping off the diving board and going down the water slide all by herself (with a floaty). To say I’m proud of this little water baby is an understatement.

Friends come visit me

This summer I welcomed some visitors. First to come was my dear friend Reilly and her son. We spent the days at the Ocean, Playing in the sand, swimming and surfing, we also looked for sea glass and sea shells. Then one day it was off to the valley to have a play date with one of my friends and her kids, they all had a blast. I felt so happy have them come and hang out with me.

Only a couple days after they flew back home, I welcomed my second visitor Nicole, she and I have been friends for as long at I have memory, we had 4 days filled with  so many activities, these included, Sailing on the Bluenose, doing a oak Island tour, going to the Ocean, and going to on tree climbing. the conversations, laughter, picnics and adventures were endless. we were exhausted, and discovered muscles we didn’t know we had but we were so happy!

I visit friends

As if my summer wasn’t jam packed already, I decided to fly out of Nova Scotia and visit around. I connected with friends from Quebec and two from Ontario, I went to Niagara Falls, and got to catch up with endless conversations about the last 5 years. I feel so blessed to have these people in my life
