Drive Through

The other day I was driving to work with my roommate, when we stopped at Tim Hortons for some tea and bagels.  Now as you all know when you get to the window it is like they go into hyper speed mode and you better have your car, wallet, and cup holders ready or you wont be able to keep up with them almost throwing your items at you.

After I placed our order I took a deep breath, checked the car and was like yup I am ready for the blast fast service.  Pulling up I have the money ready, and pay, then hand it to my roommate so she can put it away. Then I turn back to the window to get the bag of bagels, and hand that to my roommate, then turn back for the first tea, grabbed it from her and turned to carefully hand it to my roommate.  Then I put my hand out my window to grab the next tea before looking in that direction, I grabbed and then held on but it wasn’t the tea, realizing I was holding something I turned my head and at the same moment notice her head turning toward me, as she too was looking the other direction, it was then that we looked at our hands instead of grabbing the tea, I had in fact grabbed her hand and held onto it. When we realized what was going on she was trying to move her hand out of the way while I was doing the same, so instead of moving our hands out of the way we somehow managed to grasp our hands tighter to each other. going red in the face making eye contact and a very awkward silent 20 seconds we figured out how to un hold hands and I took the tea,  I put the tea in the cup holder and drove away.

I at least hope that I made her day, maybe she really needed a drive through window hand holding that day, Hahahahaha
