I had such a great weekend last weekend, my cousin, her son and myself all met in Toronto for a cousins weekend at Canada’s Wonderland, we rented an Air BNB, I flew in and took an uber to the house, my cousin drove from Ottawa and met me at the house, once she got there, we stayed up talking of the yesteryears and catching up on life until 2 am. Then when we finally decided we needed to go to bed, we talked for another half an hour. After a short night we got up and packed up for a day at wonderland, it was fantastic, we ate food, went on kids rides, my cousins son played games and won longed after stuffed animals. We roasted in the sun and sweated out more water then we took in. The couple adult rides that we were able to go on we had a blast, felt the adrenalin rush we longed for. After a full day and 13 km later of walking around the park, we had time for one last ride, both my cousin and I wanted to do the Leviathan roller coaster, now little six year old was too small to ride this ride so we did what is called a parental buddy share. This means that we stand in line together, then when it is our turn one person goes on the ride and the other waits with the child, then when that first person is done the ride we trade off and the one waiting goes on the ride, that way both get to ride and you don’t have to go back and stand in the line again, it is a great way to make sure the child is watched and safe while still enjoying the ride. Since the park was closing by the time my cousin and I got through the line and we had to go on the last two carts of the night, and because we were doing the buddy share ride one had to take the first cart and the other the second cart.
Roller Coasters scare me so much, however I love the adrenaline rush, the speed, and the thrill of flipping, and turning and whatever the roller coaster track does. This particular roller coaster is the highest in Canada at 306 feet (93.27 Meters), the top speed is 148km per hour and the first drop is a 80 degree angle, which goes into a tunnel, while you are on it you are sure that you will hit your head on the tunnel, (even though I know that you wont). I was in shear terror being in the front seat, with all logic out the window I was trying to grab onto anything to try to secure me even more in the seat. Once the ride came to a stop and I checked myself to see if I was in fact still alive, catching my breath, I check in with my seat mates, once we realized we were good we started laughing, (which is of course what is done after being terrified for your life) and instantly wanted to do it again. They of course wouldn’t let us due to being closed for the night.
As we got off the ride and went to look at the photos they take of you on the ride, I was planning to look at it, have a little laugh and walk away. This time however I was not able to walk away from that photo, it captured my pure sheer terror of the moment on the ride I was trying to survive, I hope you all get a good laugh over this photo too.
I am uploading a youtube video of the ride someone posted so you can also feel the ride with me. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/BcjCt2dTy4U
