I was visiting with my dear friend a couple weeks back and hanging out with her little ones. Her two-year-old was sitting on my lap and we were reading a book, as we are reading and she is flipping around the book and jumping down every few seconds to get her wiggles out, she at last sits for a few minute stretch listening to me read her the book. She leans her head back onto my shoulder and says, “I love you” heart melting I reply “Awe my girl I love you too.” Cherishing that moment and after a second of silence she replies, “Yeah, you should.”
A couple hours later her father comes home for lunch and after eating, she is playing on the floor when her dad who is about to go back to work kneels down with arms open wide and askes, “can I have a hug?” she continues to play then after like 30 seconds she says all non-chalant “Yeah, I could do that.” Then runs over for a hug.
Please child never lose that bluntness, such a sweetie!
